Returns Policy

We will gladly accept returns or exchanges of unwashed and unworn Banana Republic merchandise at any Canada store location within 30 days of original purchase date, subject to certain limitations as described below. Returns will not be accepted after 30 days.

Banana Republic stands behind the quality of our merchandise and will accept a defective item for refund or exchange at any time, subject to the terms and conditions described herein.

All returns, exchanges, and price adjustments must be made in the country of original purchase. Limit one return transaction per receipt per day.

Returns with an Original Receipt

We will fully refund you in the original form of payment.

For items purchased with a traveler’s check, we will gladly issue you a refund by mail in the form of a check within 10 business days.

For items purchased with cash, we will gladly refund up to $499 cash back to a single household or customer making a single or multiple receipt return transactions. Customers making single or multiple receipt return transactions totaling over $499 will receive any amounts due over $499 by mail in the form of a check within 10 business days.

Returns with a Gift Receipt

We will gladly provide you with a merchandise exchange or Giftcard for the price paid.

Returns Without a Receipt

We will gladly provide you with a non-transferable merchandise certificate by mail for the current selling price. A Giftcard cannot be provided in lieu of the merchandise certificate.

A valid photo identification is required for all non-receipted returns and to receive or redeem a non-transferable merchandise certificate.

Banana Republic stores have a limited ability to look up your original transaction if the form of payment was by credit card, debit card or gift card. If the transaction can be located and validated, your return will be treated as an original receipt transaction.

Price Adjustments

Banana Republic offers the courtesy of a one-time price adjustment when an original receipt is presented within 7 days of the date of purchase.

Final Sale

All merchandise with a price point ending in $0.97 is considered final sale. This merchandise is not returnable and is not eligible for a price adjustment.

Swimwear

Banana Republic can only accept returns or exchanges of swimwear with the original price tags and hygienic liner intact.

Personal Care Merchandise

Personal care merchandise that is removed from original packaging cannot be returned. Shrinkwrap must be intact.

Sunglasses

Sunglasses returns can be accepted only with the accompanying case and the original tags attached.
